Opportunity to Participate in the Leawood Fourth of July Parade

Leawood’s Fourth of July Parade committee is already hard at work planning this year’s celebration and they’ve shared an invitation for neighborhood groups to participate.

There has been interest from several North Leawood neighborhoods and LHA residents are welcome to join the parade as well. Participation can be simple and fun. For example, a group of kids riding decorated bikes with parents walking alongside, or neighbors walking the route handing out red, white, and blue balloons to children along the parade route.

The parade already has more than 20 entries and will be capped at around 80, so early sign-ups are encouraged. The deadline to submit an application is June 1. If you and your neighbors are interested in participating, now is a great time to start planning a fun and festive entry.
