New Leawood 360 Podcast: Back-to-School Traffic Safety

With school back in session, the City of Leawood recently released a new episode of their Leawood 360 podcast focused on keeping our streets safer as school buses, young drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and students on e-bikes and e-scooters return to their school-year routines. They spoke with Leawood Police Sgt. Matthew Schroeder and Officer Cody Morse about school-zone safety, e-bike and e-scooter laws, the City's helmet ordinance, and some of the behaviors officers are seeing from young riders. City Engineer Brian Scovill also joins in to discuss pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements, current and upcoming road construction, and the City's Safe Streets Leawood initiative.
